How to Lighten Dark Ankles and Feet
In some people skin around ankles appears brown or black which is known as dark ankles. The complexion of feet is commonly darkened as compared to face and hands. It can be because of improper foot care.
Causes of Dark Ankles and Feet:
There can be many reasons for dark ankles and feet. It can be a natural thing also. The skin at ankle is very thin. It becomes discolored due to various reasons such as staining of wet clothes, constant fraction caused by the boots or any medical condition. Common medical conditions include sprains, bruises, spotted fever etc. It is nothing to worry about because you can lighten these dark ankle and feet with various home remedies. The darkness of feet is due to improper foot care and their constant exposure to sun and rough atmosphere.
Home Remedies to Lighten Dark Ankles and Feet
As there are no oil glands in feet so they are comparatively drier than other parts of body. And need much more nourishment and moisturizer. Take 10 – 15 almonds and grind them with 2 tbsp of milk to make a grainy paste. Add 1 tsp of honey in it. Now use this home made scrub on your feet and ankles. It will moisturize your skin and lighten it as well. You can use it daily to get fast results.
Lemon juice has natural skin bleaching and antiseptic properties in it. Take one lemon and squeeze it fresh lemon juice to apply on your dark ankles and feet. Leave it for 20 to 30 minutes and then rinse it off. Repeat it daily and within a week you will see prominent lightening of your ankles and feet.
Aloe Vera Gel:
Take aloe Vera gel and apply it on dark ankles and feet. Leave it for 30 minutes and wash with warm water you will begin to see the positive results in few days.
Glycerin with Rose Water:
Take equal quantity of glycerin ad rose water. Apply it on the affected area and leave it over night. Glycerin has bleaching properties which will effectively work against dark ankles and feet.
It is rich in Vitamin E which is helpful in lightening the skin .Massage coconut oil for 15 – 20 minutes on your ankles and feet than wash with Luke warm water.
Add 2 tbsp of baking soda in half tub of warm water. Dip your feet and ankles in it for 30 minutes. Repeat it daily to see quick results.
Gram Flour Pack:
Take 2 tbsp of gram flour and mix it with 1 tsp of turmeric powder, 1 tsp of lemon juice and rose water to make a thick paste. Apply this pack on your feet and ankles until it get dry. Wash with warm water.
